I currently have open loop Nema 23, 428 oz/in stepper motors operating my CNC Router, but I want to upgrade to Closed Loop Steppers. My question is since the motors I currently have are 428 oz/in do I have to use the same torque with the Closed Loop or can I go with a lower oz/in motor? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
